If this politician is allowed to carry out this precedent, then what will stop those of other religions from swearing allegiance on their “holy books”? As Prager points out, what would stop a scientologist, for example, from being allowed to take his oath of office with his hand on a copy of "Dianetics" by L. Ron Hubbard?
