Controversial Family Film Opens This Weekend

I’m sure many of you heard about Facing the Giants. The movie had everyone talking when it received a PG rating. The trailer looks great ... I can't wait to see the movie! If we want Hollywood to know that we like movies that portray real faith, then lots of people like us need to make plans to see Facing the Giants on its opening weekend this weekend (September 29-October 1). New Law Increases Public Scrutiny of Uncle Sam’s Spending Habits

A new law enacted yesterday will make it easier to track government spending. The Federal Funding and Transparency Act will create a new website that will list all government grants and contracts greater than $25,000, except those classified for national security reasons. President Bush pointed out, “Information on earmarks will no longer be hidden deep in the pages of a federal budget bill, but just a few clicks away. This legislation will give the American people a new tool to hold their government accountable for spending decisions.” Read more.

The secularization of VeggieTales?


At least the Mainstream Media (MSM) is being consistent as they talk out of both sides of their mouth. Last week, the MSM gives a platform for attacking the Pope for pointing out the realities about historical Islam, while at the same time deemphasizing the continual hatred by radical Muslims towards anyone non-Muslim. In another act of duplicity, NBC has decided to strip any references of God or the Bible from the popular kids’ cartoon VeggieTales right before their national debut on Saturday morning television. This, however, hasn’t deterred the network from allowing Madonna to mock Christ’s crucifixion in an upcoming broadcast. Read more about NBC’s hypocrisy here.
